From Thursday, October 26 to Sunday, October 29, 2017, the Incarnational Spirituality Retreat will mark the end of our Sesquicentennial Anniversary year. The closing Mass and celebration will be on Wednesday, October 25th. The retreat will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, the 26th and conclude with Sunday Mass on October 29th. Sr. Brigid Marie Clarke, C.C.V.I. from San Antonio and Jeannette Easley, Director of Ruah will be our presenters. Sr. Brigid Marie Clarke holds an MTS degree in theology from Oblate School of Theology, an M.A. in Counseling from Our Lady of the Lake University; and a certification as a spiritual director from the Central Texas Pastoral Institute of Austin, TX. She has taught for many years and has also served her religious Congregation
in leadership positions and as vocation director. It is a genuine gift that Sr. Brigid Marie will be with us for this retreat. During this retreat we will reflect and share on the Mystery of the Incarnation; through Jesus, creation and humanity, as well as our mission to actualize the saving and healing love of the Incarnate Word in our lives today. We will provide ample time for private prayer and contemplation with one or two short conferences per day, along with communal prayer and daily Mass. The central event of the Incarnation is both a rev-elation of God and humanity. God is made “known in and through a real human life at each stage of human growth and knowledge. It is impossible to overstate the significance of this. Because of the Incarnation, we can never look at God or ourselves – or, for that matter, all of creation – in the same way again! Registration deadline will be August 31st. Please register by emailing us at ruah@ccvi-vdm.org or call 713-928-6053, ext. 1228.
