CHRISTUS Point of Light Clinic in Dickinson and the Healthy Living Mobile Clinic delighted parents and children from surrounding schools by giving away 250 sets of backpacks with age-appropriate school supplies. They also administered 87 free immunizations for children. Sr. Ricca and Nurse Practitioners Andres Gil and Beth Ryan performed free sports physicals. Stephen F. Austin Community Health Network provided free dental screenings. Sr. Edwin Berry donated beautiful, pastel-colored baby blankets that were much appreciated by the youngest patients. There were several volunteers from CHRISTUS Foundation for Healthcare and Rotary Club of League City who distributed the school supplies, which ran out in a couple of hours! We plan to do this again next year and, hopefully, we will have enough supplies for everybody.
