Board of Directors of SCH and Carrigoran Board of Directors tour historical sites in Galveston and share time together.

Great preparations were made by the Sisters of Charity Health (SCH) Board of Directors to host the Carrigoran Board of Directors, along with some of their spouses, and Valerie Vaughan, CEO of Carrigoran House.

It was a wonderful occasion for all to get to know each other better, visit sites in the Galveston-Houston area including: Amazing Place, Downtown Houston Co-Cathedral, Minute Maid Park, Toyota Center, Discovery Green, tour of Galveston by Linda Macdonald, drive by the Houston Medical Center, Menil Museum, Fine Arts Museum, Villa de Matel (CCVI archives), Villa de Matel Chapel and grounds, and opportunities to enjoy time socializing together.

Both boards had an opportunity to share during their meeting together: Carrigoran House Board shared on its strategic plan, SCH Board presented on the ministries it supports, etc., and Sr. Kevina Keating gave an up-to-date Power Point Presentation on the CCVI ministries and a short history of Carrigoran House going back to the time it was purchased. This was followed by several questions and answers.

Members of the Carrigoran Board are: John Bulfin, Chair, Assumpta Murray, Carolanne Cunningham, Anne Fitzgibbon, John Cregan, and Sr. Christina Murphy.

The SCH Board is comprised of: John Zipprich, Chair, Mary Lynch, Tom Permetti, Margaret O’Donnell, and Sisters Christina Murphy, Kim-Phuong Tran, Kim Xuan Thi Nguyen, Helena Adaku Ogbuji and Mary Patricia Driscoll.

The time together and opportunities to get to know the CCVI Leadership Team was a wonderful investment of time and effort.
