Participants in the Vocation Seminar having fun and relaxation during their break time.
By Sister Justina Nzula Mutiso
The Seminar began on December 12th, and lasted through December 15th, 2019. CCVI had seven ladies attending and the Franciscan Brothers had five young men. It was a joint initiative.
Sr. Elizabeth Kiptoo gave a presentation on the vocation journey, and our postulants shared about the history of our Congregation. Two Franciscan brothers were with us, Br. Brian Johnson, from Ireland, spoke of a life of prayer, and Br. Bernard Kariuki, Kenyan, spoke about vocation stories in the Scriptures and on discernment. They were excellent! On Friday evening we watched a movie entitled IRON WILL which encouraged us in our faith journeys. Sr. Elizabeth Ann Hayes welcomed us to the Dubuis community on Saturday evening after supper, where we interacted with the community members, and shared with the group on the different stages of Religious Formation. This was my first seminar and I felt very much supported by my sisters.
The photo above shows the seven ladies and five men who attended the seminar. It was during break time when they had fun. The photo was taken at Ukarimu Centre.
Please keep vocation discerners in your daily prayer. May the Incarnate Word be praised!
