Saturday, May 20, 2023, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word-Houston gatheredwith family and friends of Jubilarians that came together from all over the U.S. to celebrate Jubilee. Jubilee is from the first year a Sister professes her vows to her religious community. The day’s events began with the traditional pinning of corsages by the leadership of the Congregation on theJubilarians, followed by Mass to celebrate. The Mass included the renewal of vows for the Jubilarians. Each one held a special lit candle while reciting her vow renewal led by Rev. Evaristus Chukwu and Sr. Celeste Trahan, Congregational Leader.

Following Mass, a delicious lunch reception was served for all in Dubuis Conference Center.Such a community celebration that renews the spirit, strengthens the bond of sisterhood, andprovides for a sense of gratitude and love for one another and for God. Jubilee Day is built on connecting with one another, delighting in one another, and having fun together.

he Sisters, families, and friends gathered in the late afternoon to end the day with some fun byplaying yard games, enjoying music, eating pizza, and snacks in the pool area on the campus of Villade Matel – A great time was had by all!
