Annual Appreciation Event Draws Nearly 90 Houston-Area Sisters to VdM

Catholic Daughters of the Americas #1959 and Knights of Columbus #4577 hosted this year’s Nuns’ Day 2025 to honor “amazing nuns” serving in the Archdiocese on March 2nd at the Villa de Matel. In its 45th year, the annual event drew 89 Sisters from multiple Congregations to the Villa for a delicious meal and prize bingo. It was the first time the event took place at the Villa, at the special request of CCVI Volunteer Director Maria Martinez, who said she made a special request to the sponsors in the hope that many homebound Sisters with both CCVI and C.V.I. Congregations could attend.
