About fifty years ago, my sister Sheila, gave me a stamp album. She must have known something about me, as I had no plans to collect stamps! On Saturdays, I began to dedicate some time to stamp collecting, and in time, Sheila's stamp album was filled. Then I started using three-hole binders and those began to fill with stamps from different countries. By then, several Sisters started putting stamps in my mailbox for me to add to the collection and those binders filled quickly. I even have several binders of stamps from the same country. For example, there are several binders of stamps from just the U. S. A. and Ireland. Other countries in the collection have only a few stamps. Researching stamps gives one knowledge as to why a stamp was designed and printed, which is a great way to learn history. Now there are forty-five stamp binders in the archives.
