I am currently working in our Incarnate Word Formation Center in Torola, El Salvador, where our mission is to incarnate God’s love through our service to the most vulnerable, promoting the holistic development of individuals to improve their human, physical, emotional, and spiritual condition. Our mission is carried out in various programs, including supporting psychological therapy programs twice a month on Saturdays. I teach music classes two days a week, and also visit the sick to bring them the Holy Eucharist when necessary on Sundays. Alongside Sr. Martha Irene Agüero Velásquez, I also support the local parish’s Social Ministry, organizing fundraising activities. Part of our ministry involves outreach to the youth in our Loyola Scholarship Program. I also lead a Liturgy of the Word in three communities once a week. Our main goal this year is to support children and the elderly in following a healthy lifestyle, teaching them how to maintain a balance diet with what is locally available from their own resources, while also Caring for Creation. Another goal is outreach and education to people with dental and vision problems. Once a month, we make referrals and help people make contact with other institutions where they can find care. We work with many people to extend the mission of these efforts, including children, adults and the elderly.
