100th Birthday Party

Sisters Margaret Ann Toomey, Kathleen Daly, Sheila Marie O’ Sullivan, and Ernestine Mulvey were privileged to attend the 100th Birthday of Amelite Marie Murphy. She is the mother of nine Murphy children who attended St. Francis School in North East Houston where most of our Sisters taught. One of the children, Stephanie, graduated from St. Francis then later taught there, and also served as principal for many years. Stephanie is now happily married to Andrew Couty.

 

All were very happy for our presence at Amelie’s birthday. The Murphy family spent many hours working at the annual bazaars supporting St. Francis School and Sister Angelica’s booth.
