Kairos is our prayer space for creative expression. There are times when words are inadequate in prayer. That's when we can reach for other tools of expression--crayons, markers, Play-Doh, scissors, glue and magazine pictures--whatever helps your heart and mind become visible to you.
Labyrinth
Villa de Matel Convent Cemetery - The Sisters' private cemetery is a place of prayer where guests are welcome to enter at any time. Stations of the Cross invite guests to reflection.
Bethany - Our meeting room for smaller groups (15 or fewer). On days when Bethany is not occupied by a group, individuals may feel free to use it as a place for prayer and reading.
The Roof Garden - An open-air prayer space in the treetops.
Lebh Shomea - Hebrew for "Listening Heart," for listening to music, reading, journaling, praying or gazing out at nature.
The Cloister Walk - A sheltered porch looking out on the Villa Chapel.
Emmaus - Our meeting room for large groups (up to 35 people).
Retreat Dining Room -Retreatants at Ruah Center have their own dining room, set apart for eating in silence.
The Communal Prayer Room (CPR) - A small space for prayer and spiritual direction.
The Icon Room - In icons the mysteries of God are reflected in line, image, color, and beauty. This room is for those drawn into the Mystery in this way.
Villa Chapel
Bedrooms - Ruah Center offers simple accommodations that consist of single bedrooms and shared restrooms in a dorm setting.
The Oratory - The Blessed Sacrament is reserved here. It has become customary to use the Oratory for quiet prayer only. Other spaces are recommended for reading, journaling and devotions.
