A ministry of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, St. Austin Center in Houston, TX is dedicated to serving the city's East End by providing programs and services that improve the health and well-being of families and individuals in body, mind, and spirit. We collaborate with various partners and advocates who share our values and are committed to meeting basic needs in the community while supporting the education and development of persons toward stability and self-sufficiency. Our St. Austin Center ministry continues growing, with recent upgrades to our current center and plans to expand.

St. Austin Literacy Program, a ministry of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, Houston (CCVI) is dedicated to serving adult men and women in Houston’s East End through a variety of literacy classes in the English language. Classes range from beginning to advanced English as a Second Language. Programs are also offered for students seeking USA Citizenship. All Literacy Program classes are held in the St. Austin Center building.
